Hi there.
I've had great success using Portraiture on all of my color photos... but it doesn't work at all on any of my black and whites.

I'm a Mac operating with Lion... I'm using LR3 and CS5. I shoot RAW images with a Nikon D7000 and a variety of lenses.

I do the majority of my edits in LR and then open them via LR into PS where I finish off with some localized adjustments, sharpening and Portraiture.

I always run Portraiture on a separate layer so I can adjust opacity. I typically run it on the default settings but when I noticed it wasn't making any significant change to my B&W's I tried running it on High... No luck there.

When I toggle the layer ON/OFF there is no change.
I can't figure out what the problem is.

As I said before - it runs perfectly on color images processed in the same workflow.

Thanks for your help!

Hi,
Although I'm new to it, mask selection is working mostly well on Portraiture, but sometimes especially when the colors on background are close to skin tones it's not easy to keep the mask on face area only. Is there an "erase tool" for unwanted parts to concentrate on the face? I know mask tool is adjustable but, it's sometimes easier just to exclude with an eraser.

Don't let Imagenomic know I posted this or else I'll come looking for you!!
Better noise reduction by default and has more speed!!
Don't ask any questions about when the beta will be or any details as this is all I can do now!!!!
For LR4, I found a video for plug-in using droplets. However, I feel that CS5 is required for that to work. Is that true? Someone, please explain.

I was wondering if anyone out there can give a short and sweet answer to the complex question of the pros and cons of getting a Lightroom only plug in. I went through this with Nik software and OnOne, in which case I just paid extra, big time, for both versions. Mostly, the only reason I ever prefer the Ps versions is for the advantage of layers. I know nothing, yet, about this software so I was hoping someone could say whether or not I would be sorry if , in this case, I only purchased the Lr version of the software.

Thanks very much.
